Why I Believe Chief Eric Opah Deserves A Chance In 2027 – By Samuel Okenyi
Leadership is ultimately judged by vision, integrity, competence, and the ability to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. As Abia State continues to look toward a brighter future, I am convinced that Chief Eric Opah possesses the qualities required to usher in a new era of purposeful, transparent, and people-oriented governance.
My confidence in Chief Eric Opah is rooted in the belief that he understands the expectations of the people and the urgent need to restore trust in public leadership. Transparency in governance is not merely a campaign slogan; it is the foundation upon which accountability, prudent management of public resources, and sustainable development are built. Abians deserve a government that is open, responsible, and committed to serving the interests of the people above all else.
One of the greatest challenges confronting our state today is youth unemployment. Thousands of talented young men and women remain without meaningful opportunities despite their potential. I believe Chief Eric Opah appreciates this reality and has the capacity to champion policies that encourage investment, stimulate entrepreneurship, strengthen local industries, and create sustainable jobs that will empower our youths economically and reduce poverty across the state.
The future of Abia State depends on leaders who are prepared to think differently, listen to the people, and deliver practical solutions rather than empty promises. Our state needs leadership that promotes inclusive development, encourages innovation, supports small businesses, and creates an enabling environment where every citizen has the opportunity to succeed.
For these reasons, I have made my decision. I will support the election of Chief Eric Opah in 2027 because I believe he represents a vision of accountable leadership, economic empowerment, and genuine progress. I encourage every well-meaning Abian to carefully assess the candidates based on their capacity, character, and commitment to the people’s welfare. Together, we can build an Abia that works for everyone.
