Lakreem Entertainment Unveils Nigerian Governors’ Report Card Series, Features Otti First.

Lakreem Entertainment has unveiled the Nigerian Governors’ Report Card Series, an initiative designed to assess the performance of Nigeria’s 36 state governors and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The initiative was unveiled during a press conference in Lagos, where the organisation said the assessment would focus on key areas including infrastructure, security, prudent management of public funds and the delivery of democratic dividends to citizens.

Speaking on the initiative, Lakreem Entertainment founder, Abdulkareem, said the project was conceived to promote accountability among state governors, particularly against the backdrop of increased financial allocations to states following recent economic reforms.

He said the series would highlight administrations that are making meaningful progress while publicly drawing attention to those that fail to meet the expectations of their citizens.

“The Nigerian Governors’ Report Card Series will beam penetrative searchlights on all the 36 state governments and the FCT, celebrating their successes when and where they deserve it and publicly calling them out for their incompetence and visionlessness where and when applicable,” Abdulkareem stated.

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State is the first governor featured in the series, with Abdulkareem describing him as a transformative leader whose administration has recorded notable developmental strides since assuming office.

The maiden edition of the project features three songs titled Overcoming Challenges, Inspired to Serve and Vacancy No Dey, all centred on Otti’s administration and its activities in Abia State.

According to Abdulkareem, Overcoming Challenges chronicles Otti’s political journey and resilience in overcoming obstacles on his path to becoming governor.

He explained that Inspired to Serve focuses on the governor’s vision to rebuild and reposition Abia State, while Vacancy No Dey highlights what the artiste described as the administration’s achievements during its first three years in office.

Abdulkareem said the songs were produced following interactions with residents across Abia State, adding that they were intended to reflect public perceptions and assessments of the governor’s performance.

Also speaking at the event, media consultant Myke Pam said Lakreem Entertainment decided to focus on state governments because governors now have access to substantially higher financial resources following the removal of fuel subsidy and other fiscal reforms.

Pam said the organisation would extend the assessment to all 36 states and the FCT, with the aim of celebrating administrations that deliver on their mandates and identifying those that fall short of expectations.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of Abdulkareem’s son, Abdulraheem, popularly known as DJ Papi, as the official disc jockey of Lakreem Entertainment.

The organisation said the Governors’ Report Card Series would continue with assessments of other state administrations, providing a platform for citizens to examine governance, development and accountability across the country.
