“We Told President Tinubu That Entire Country Is In difficult situation” – Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman Bauchi revealed

Prominent Islamic scholar Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman Bauchi has revealed details of high-level meeting with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock, where he and Global Tijjaniyya Leader tabled Nigeria’s security and hardship crisis.

Speaking to RFI Hausa after the visit, Sheikh Bauchi said delegation told President that entire country is in difficult situation, quoting Qur’an 20:44: “When you stand before a leader, speak to him gently – faqulu lahu qawlan layyinan la’allahu yatadhakkaru aw yakhsha (Translation: And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah].) – so he may take heed.”

“We spoke to him about Nigeria as a whole. At least we delivered message directly and he showed genuine concern over what citizens are facing,” he said.

Sheikh Bauchi explained visit was ahead of annual Maulid of Sheikh Tijjani slated for Sunday in Kano, led by Supreme Global Leader of Tijjaniyya Order who has over 500 million followers worldwide. Delegation also delivered condolences over death of Sheikh Tahir Usman Bauchi.

He said Global Leader told Tinubu they constantly pray for Nigeria, because “if Nigeria is peaceful, Africa and world will be peaceful, Nigeria is always in their hearts.”

President Tinubu, according to Bauchi, expressed delight and requested continued support and prayers from Tijjaniyya followers to help him discharge trust placed on him.

On Northern hardship, Bauchi said as fathers of all, clerics belong to everyone but must pray for whoever holds power. He urged Nigerians to fear God and pray for relief: “Leadership belongs to God. We pray God lightens his burden to deliver success, especially on insecurity and hardships.”
