Affliction Of Ikwuano/Umuahia Will Not Rise The Second Time: Why Obi Aguocha Must Be Resisted At The Polling Units – By Prince Clinton Alozie
The Holy Bible says in Nahum 1:9 that affliction shall not rise up the second time, and that scripture has become the collective prayer and the battle cry of the good people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency today because we have tasted affliction in the last three years of voiceless, project-less and clueless representation and we say never again, this affliction of bad representation shall not rise a second time.
For almost three years, Ikwuano/Umuahia has been like a sheep without a shepherd in the National Assembly with no effective voice, no federal projects attracted, no bills that changed our lives, no empowerment that touched the real people, no roads, no water, no jobs, no hope, only Facebook noise, media propaganda, blackmail of others, and kneeling before Governor for camera, and now the same affliction wants to return for a second term and God forbid it will not happen.
He must be resisted at the polling units because he has failed the test of representation, representation is not about showing up in state Government functions and attending funerals but about bringing home the dividends of democracy. He has nothing verifiable to point to in Ikwuano, Umuahia North and South.
He abandoned his constituency for eye-service politics, instead of fighting for dilapidated Ofeme Ohuhu Road and Nkwoegwu Power Outage he abandoned his clan to go and kneel for Ofeke Road for cheap political point, and a man who does not put his own people first cannot be trusted for a second term.
He brought division and propaganda instead of unity, for three years all we saw was media attacks on the Orji family and other stakeholders while our youths are jobless, we need a unifier not a divider, a builder not a blackmailer. Ikwuano/Umuahia has suffered enough and we cannot afford another four years of lamentation, our traders need roads, our graduates need jobs and federal opportunities, our women need empowerment, our communities need water and transformers, we cannot gamble with another four years of redundancy.
The power to stop this affliction from rising a second time is in our PVCs, the polling unit is where we will write our statement, we will resist him with our votes, we will resist him with our unity, peacefully but firmly. The people of Ikwuano/Umuahia are wiser now, we have seen the difference between propaganda and performance, between a Facebook Representative and a Federal Representative, and we will not be deceived a second time.
In 2027 every man, every woman, every youth must stand at their polling unit and say affliction shall not rise the second time, no to second affliction, no to failed representation, no to Obi Aguocha’s second term, our constituency must be liberated.
Hon. Prince Clinton Alozie
