A Scorecard Is Not A Campaign Slogan. It Is The Result A Representative Carries Back Home To The People Who Sent Him To The Green Chamber – It Is Proof That The Mandate Was Used And That The Agreement Between A People And Their Servant Was Kept – Mandate 27 Group Educates Aguocha

A scorecard is not a campaign slogan. It is the result a representative carries back home to the people who sent him to the Green Chamber. It is proof that the mandate was used and that the agreement between a people and their servant was kept. Anyone sent to Abuja by his people should be proud to show that scorecard in every market, church and village square. A man who has nothing to show has failed his people, and Hon. Obi Aguocha has failed.

Representation is an agreement, and its terms are simple. The people give their vote, their trust and their hope. In return, the representative gives laws, attracted projects, a voice in the room where decisions are made, and a record that can be checked. When the term ends, the people ask, “What did you do with what we gave you?” The honest answer is the scorecard. A media team cannot write it, and a list of boreholes, poles and street lights cannot replace it, least of all when others had a hand in providing them. A scorecard is what the people themselves can count.

So let us count it for Hon. Aguocha. How many bills carry his name? How many federal projects has he attracted to Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South? Where are the roads, the erosion sites, the jobs? When he is asked, he does not point to results. He asks the people to compare him with those who came before him. That is not the posture of a man with a record. It is the posture of a man who knows he has none and is looking for company.

Every honest leader knows the difference between activity and achievement. Handing out palliatives is activity. Posting photographs is activity. Issuing rejoinders is activity. Achievement is a road that stays motorable, a gully that stops swallowing homes, a law that outlives the lawmaker, a project the people can touch long after the cameras leave. By that standard, the people of this constituency have been left with plenty of noise and very little to show for it.

A man who has failed his agreement with his people has lost the right to ask them for another term. That is why the constituency is looking elsewhere, and why it has found **Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji**.

Chinedum Orji did not rise out of ambition alone. He has risen because the failure of the present representation made his rise necessary. He is a former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, a man who has led a legislature, who understands what lawmaking demands, and who knows that a seat in the chamber is a trust and not a trophy. When a people lose faith in the man they sent, they do not sit and wait. They search for someone who can restore the dignity of their representation, and across Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South they have searched and found him.

The people are not rallying behind Engr. Orji out of sentiment, or because of what he promises. They are rallying because they have watched and counted, and they have seen enough. From Ossah to Umumgbokwo Isingwu, from Ubakala to Umudike, the conversation is the same: the time for excuses is over. The constituency wants a representative who will come home with results, not explanations. They want a scorecard they can read, and a man who is proud to show it. That is why the people are speaking with one voice, and that voice is behind him.

To Hon. Aguocha, the message is plain. You asked for a mandate and you were given one, and the people are now asking what became of it. If you had a scorecard worth showing, you would have shown it already.

To the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency: the choice in 2027 is not complicated. You can stay with failure, or you can move on to a man who has risen for your sake. A representative who cannot show his scorecard has already answered the question the people are asking.
