Senator Orji Kalu Boosts Learning in Bende with Desks, School Bags, Textbooks and Uniforms

Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has continued to strengthen education across the district, with another phase of his education support programme benefiting schools in Bende Local Government Area.

The intervention, carried out on his behalf by his Legislative Assistant for Bende LGA, Barr. Ifeanyi Igwe, saw 12 primary schools receive new classroom desks, while 32 primary and secondary schools benefited from school bags, textbooks and exercise books. In addition, 40 schools received school uniforms.

The initiative is aimed at improving the learning environment, supporting pupils and students with essential educational materials, and promoting academic excellence across communities in Bende.

Speaking during the distribution, Barr. Ifeanyi Igwe reaffirmed Senator Kalu’s commitment to ensuring that no child in Abia North is held back by a lack of basic learning materials. He noted that the Senator’s educational interventions have consistently reached communities across the five local government areas of the senatorial district.

The principals, head teachers, teachers, PTA executives and community leaders of the beneficiary schools expressed appreciation to Senator Kalu for his continued investment in education. They described the intervention as timely and impactful, while praying for God’s continued protection, wisdom and strength for the Senator.

Through sustained support for educational infrastructure, learning materials and student welfare, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu continues to demonstrate his commitment to quality education as a foundation for human capital development and sustainable progress in Abia North.
