A concerned member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Emeka Richard C., has congratulated the party’s candidates across various constituencies and elective positions as the official campaign season commences.

In a message marking the commencement of the campaign, Richard described the development as an opportunity for APC candidates to engage directly with the electorate, communicate their programmes and demonstrate their readiness to serve.

He urged the candidates to conduct their campaigns with discipline, humility, unity and resilience, stressing the need for issue-based engagements and credible programmes capable of addressing the challenges confronting the people.

According to him, political campaigns should not be reduced to personal attacks, but should provide candidates with an opportunity to explain their policies, programmes and vision for the development of their respective constituencies.

“The people deserve leadership that listens, understands their realities, and is prepared to translate promises into measurable results,” he said.

Richard also called on APC candidates, leaders, stakeholders and supporters to maintain peace and respect political opponents throughout the campaign period.

He expressed confidence that a united and focused APC would be well positioned for success at the polls, while wishing all the party’s candidates a peaceful, successful and impactful campaign.

He urged the candidates to remain committed to their responsibilities to the electorate, saying the commencement of the campaign marks the beginning of the real work of seeking the people’s mandate.
